CalMAN Required Version Version 5.3. This setup guide assists you in calibrating the AJA LUT-box with the CalMAN Color Cube workflow. Delta E 2 in Adobe RGB and sRGB color spaces assures accuracy. CalMAN takes advantage of the AJA Video Systems LUT-box features to calibrate a video display with a 10-bit 17x17x17 3D cube lookup table (LUT) for SMPTE video level signals. Skip over this page when creating a 3D LUT file for an AJA LUT-box, since we do not need to create a 1D LUT. The new AJA LUT-box is a new Mini-Converter to allow monitors to display accurate color space and look for any SDI video signal. The 16-bit lookup table (LUT) improves color blending for precise reproduction. When we are calibrating an AJA LUT-box with a 3D LUT, we will skip the 1D Ramp LUT page (1D RGB LUT) and use only the 3D Cube LUT page. In the Display Calibration section of the Color Cube workflow, there are provisions for calibrating both a 1D RGB LUT ( 1D Ramp LUT page) and a 3D cube LUT ( 3D Cube LUT page). AJA Video LUT Box Blackmagic HD Link Pro, DaVinci Resolve 10.1 software Cinetal Davio, Davio 2. To optimize the display’s picture controls before creating a 3D calibration LUT, advance through the adjustment pages in the Display Optimization section of the workflow. Otherwise, click the Calibrate Cube LUT button to proceed directly to the Display Calibration section. The ARRI Formats and Data Rate Calculator (FDRC) is an online tool that calculates the record durations and data rates for different camera settings. Click the Display Optimization button to proceed to that workflow section. If the Performance Analysis page indicates any red lights for display performance, you may wish to optimize the display’s picture controls before creating a 3D calibration LUT. In the Display Pre-Test section of the Color Cube workflow, you can measure the performance of a display before you calibrate it, on the Gamma & ColorChecker page and on the Advanced Linearity page. The generated 3D LUT can be loaded as an offset (using Active LUT) to their patch generation output, so they can verify the 3D LUT profiling to see their device performance when they will buy a LUT box. On the Session Options page, under Input Signal Levels, select ‘Video (16-235)’ (CalMAN currently supports only this range for the AJA LUT-box). Users can profile their display/projector without having a LUT box. Under Model, select ‘SpectraCal - Cube Generator (Resolve)’ (the AJA LUT-box loads the Resolve 3D LUT file format). LUT-box ensures that every monitor is showing the correct color look for any source signal while still allowing the footage to maintain its original color look and take advantage of additional dynamic range. On the Display dialog, under Manufacturer, select ‘SpectraCal.’ On the Session Setup page, click the Find 3D LUT Device button.
